Matt LaFleur: ‘I don’t know what holding is’ if Bears weren’t flagged vs. Micah Parsons

GREEN BAY, Wis. — When Caleb Williams rolled right and completed a pass to Devin Duvernay for 24 yards just before the two-minute warning Sunday, Bears right tackle Darnell Wright held Micah Parsons, wrapping his right arm around the Packers’ star.

It wasn’t called. The Lambeau Field production office made sure fans saw it, though, airing replays of the hold on the scoreboard during the two-minute warning.

“I thought there was one that certainly was questionable, to say the least,” Packers coach Matt LaFleur said. “Apparently, the officials disagree, so it is what it is. We’ve just got to continue to strain and fight and try to get to the quarterback.”

LaFleur argued with officials Sunday but wouldn’t detail what he said — or what was explained to him.

“I think it is a difficult job, but I guess I don’t know what holding is anymore,” he said. “Because I thought that was a pretty clear and obvious hold. But I guess I don’t know what that means.”

Parsons was relatively quiet Sunday, posting two quarterback hits and one tackle in the Packers’ 28-21 win against the Bears.
