A South Side Metra line was delayed Saturday night after a train struck a car in Washington Heights.
A Chicago-bound Metra Rock Island train hit a car around 7:30 p.m. near the 103rd Street station at 10355 S. Vincennes Ave. in Washington Heights, Metra said. Passengers were transferred to another train that continued to La Salle Street station in Chicago.
Other inbound trains were stopped, and the duration of the delay was unknown. Passengers scheduled to depart La Salle Street station at 8:25 p.m. were moved to a different train, which made stops up to Blue Island, Metra said.
No other information was immediately available.
