A Metro E Line train collided with a car and derailed Wednesday in the East Los Angeles area, and at least one person was injured.
The crash was reported about 9:20 a.m. near Third Street and Rowan Avenue, according to the Los Angeles County Fire Department.
One person was taken to a hospital in unknown condition, the fire department reported. The person was believed to have been in the vehicle involved in the collision.
A second person was assessed at the scene for possible injury.
The circumstances of the crash were under investigation.
The impact knocked the lead car of the train off the tracks, although it remained upright.
