A Morris woman was killed in a crash early Monday on the Stevenson Expressway in southwest suburban Bolingbrook.
The unidentified 21-year-old was a passenger in a green Subaru Forester that crashed at 3:20 a.m. near Illinois 53, Illinois State Police said.
She was taken to a hospital where she was pronounced dead, state police said.
The right lane of southbound Interstate 55 was shut down at the time of the crash and remained closed as of 8:30 a.m., officials said.
No further information was immediately available.
