A motorcyclist was killed in a crash Thursday night in suburban Naperville.
Dante Fields, 26, of Woodridge, was riding a blue 2024 Suzuki motorcycle when he crashed into an SUV at the intersection of Chicago Avenue and Naper Boulevard about 9:35 p.m., the Naperville Police Department said.
Police say Fields was speeding east on Chicago Avenue and had a green light when he entered the intersection as the driver of the SUV was making a left turn from westbound Maple Avenue to southbound Naper Boulevard.
Chicago Avenue runs west of Naper Boulevard; to the east of Naper Boulevard the stretch is called Maple Avenue.
Fields struck the passenger side on the SUV and was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
The crash remains under investigation. No charges were filed, police said.
