HAYWARD — A motorized bicycle rider was killed in a collision with a vehicle Friday morning in Hayward, police said.
The crash happened around 10:20 a.m. near the intersection of Depot Road and Adrian Avenue, according to the Hayward Police Department. Officers arrived to find the rider, identified as a 64-year-old Hayward man, suffering from injuries related to the collision.
The man was taken to an area hospital, where he was pronounced dead. His identity was not released Friday.
The driver of the other vehicle was not injured in the crash. Police said he stopped at the scene and cooperated with the investigation.
The collision is under investigation, but police said neither alcohol nor drugs is believed to be a factor.
