VEHICLE ACCIDENT: 9:30 a.m. at Loma Alta Avenue and Cypress Way. A silver Toyota Prius hit a biker.
VANDALISM: 10:01 a.m. on Los Gatos Boulevard. A caller said that their landlord cut off their mailbox and threw it into the dumpster a couple days ago. The U.S. Postal Service told the resident to call the police.
BURGLARY: 9:52 p.m. on Camino Del Sol. A caller said a suspect was trying to break in and broke the window on a door.
Aug. 9
BURGLARY: 2:47 a.m. on Wedgewood Avenue. A resident returned home at 1 a.m. after being away all day and saw the rear door window smashed. They said it was unknown what was taken. They told police they’d been looking for a cat that got out.
PETTY THEFT: 7:14 p.m. at Bevmo on Blossom Hill Road. A caller said she saw a known frequent thief walk in with a backpack and hang around the back corner of the store. The caller said she had footage of him stealing in the past.
BURGLARY: 9:30 p.m. on Capistrano Place. A caller said they just returned from being on a trip and saw that the house was broken into. They saw that someone entered through the back slider door. There were no cameras at the residence.
VANDALISM: 10:42 p.m. at Los Gatos-Monte Sereno Police Department on East Main Street. A man threw a rock at the police department’s window glass.
