An inquest heard how the 43-year-old was declared dead at the scene on March 10.

Firefighters had attended the home at around 3.30am after receiving reports of a blaze.

A provisional cause of death was given as stab wounds to Marta’s face, neck and back, pending further tests.

Northampton Coroner’s Court was told the mum-of-three was identified using DNA.

Senior coroner Anne Pember adjourned the full inquest until October 8 this year.

The 13-year-old girl, who legally can’t be named, is also charged with arson with intent to endanger life.

She appeared at Northampton Magistrates’ Court last month where she was remanded into youth detention accommodation.

The girl is next due to appear for a hearing at Northampton Crown Court tomorrow.

Marta, who was engaged to her long-term partner, was described by her loved ones as “the matriarch of the family”.

They told how she was “a very caring woman, a loving mother, and a supportive friend who could never do enough for those she loved”.

Her family added: “She was so loved by all of us and the tragic circumstances in which she died will haunt us forever.

“We don’t think we will ever come to terms with it.

“We are heartbroken at the thought of never seeing our lovely Marta again. She will be missed beyond words, and she will never be forgotten.”
