Young Alexandra passed away after suffering a sudden cardiac arrest just moments after she got into the hot tub, according to local media.

Reports suggest a leading theory is that her heart may have stopped due to the water temperature being excessively high in the Jacuzzi.

Investigations are ongoing into Alexandra’s official cause of death.

Alexandra had just turned 22 and had invited friends round on Saturday, April 12, in her hometown of Bistrița in northern Romania.

The popular student was studying law at the Babeș-Bolyai University in Cluj-Napoca before her tragic death.

Her professor left a touching tribute saying Alexandra had a “beautiful face and soul”.

A post on Facebook read: “We don’t know why, we don’t know how something like this could have happened, we only know this: you left us so early and broke our hearts.

“Your beautiful face and soul will remain as vivid and precious memories.

“Smooth road to the stars, dear Alexandra.”

Her shock death has rocked the local community as the Săsărman family were well known and liked in the area.

Dad Ionuț is a dentist and her mum, Mihaela, is a civil servant.

Alexandra’s funeral took place this week with her being buried next to her grandmother in the town of Năsăud.

The incident comes just days after a British toddler drowned in a swimming pool while on a family holiday to Greece.

A three-year-old boy was found unresponsive in the water by his grandparents on the island of Zante after reportedly wandering off by himself.

On the same day, two other Brit tourists drowned in Australia.

A 42-year-old man and a 17-year-old boy were pulled from the water in Queensland on Sunday afternoon but couldn’t be saved.

A third man, 37, from nearby town of Monto, was also dragged under but miraculously survived.

He was airlifted to Bundaberg Hospital in a critical condition with a serous head injury.
