NBA mock draft: Bulls could eye South Carolina’s Collin Murray-Boyles

As the odds expected, the Bulls ended up with the 12th pick after the NBA Draft lottery Monday night.

‘‘We’re going to look at everything,’’ Bulls executive vice president of basketball operations Arturas Karnisovas said. ‘‘Everything is on the table.’’

Here’s an early look at who might go where in the NBA Draft on June 25.

1. Mavericks: Cooper Flagg, Duke

The next big thing in the NBA is about to arrive in Texas. Flagg instantly will be the face of the franchise for the next decade. Luka who?

2. Spurs: Dylan Harper, Rutgers

Victor Wembanyama has another prized guard to run with, and the Spurs are building something dynamic once again in the West.

3. 76ers: Ace Bailey, Rutgers

VJ Edgecombe and Tre Johnson will be in the argument, given that Bailey isn’t the sure-fire No. 3 pick he was at the start of the season. But his size (6-10) and athleticism will be too hard to pass on.

4. Hornets: VJ Edgecombe, Baylor

Other than Flagg, Edgecombe might have the highest ceiling of any of the top five players. He displayed Anthony Edwards-like explosion around the rim and is a ballhawk defensively.

5. Jazz: Tre Johnson, Texas

Johnson might be the biggest climber in the class and could push his way up to No. 3 because of his ability to score from anywhere on the court. Finished the season strong for Texas.

6. Wizards: Kon Knueppel, Duke

He is more than just a knock-down shooter from the outside, displaying a middle-range game and a high IQ on offense. And unlike a lot of three-point college specialists, he also will compete on defense.

7. Pelicans: Jeremiah Fears, Oklahoma

The Pelicans need some serious guard help, and Fears would solve some of those problems on both ends of the floor.

8. Nets: Khaman Maluach, Duke

Maryland’s Derik Queen is a more polished player at this point, but Maluach has untapped potential and is an instant game-changer in terms of rim protection. A bit of a project but worth the investment.

9. Raptors: Derik Queen, Maryland

Queen showed he can make big-moment shots and is a crafty scorer around the rim. He can handle the ball and pass, and he might become an outside-shooting big man in a few years.

10. Rockets: Kasparas Jakucionis, Illinois

He will have a chance to learn from veteran Fred VanVleet. Jakucionis is a good fit here, but it would be interesting to see whether the Bulls would grab him if he fell.

11. Trail Blazers: Asa Newell, Georgia

The power forward will make an instant impact defensively but has some work to do on his offense.

12. BULLS: Collin Murray-Boyles, South Carolina

Maluach or Queen would be the best fit, but Murray-Boyles is the best defensive forward in the class and high effort in everything he does. In other words, he’s the anti-Patrick Williams.

13. Hawks: Jase Richardson, Michigan State

The Hawks have to decide how long they want to live in the Trae Young Era, and Richardson gives them some options moving forward.

14. Spurs, Noa Essengue, Ratiopharm Ulm (Germany)

The NBA’s next French Connection? Essengue is an elite finisher and solid rim protector and would join countryman Wembanyama in the Spurs’ frontcourt.
