The 17-year-old nephew of Hollywood star Damson Idris has been named as one of the youngest victims of the Huntingdon train knife attack.

Isaiah Ishmael Idris, was slashed across the face in the early hours of Saturday morning as he travelled on the Docklands Light Railway.

It is understood the sixth-form student staggered off the train at Pontoon Dock station in east London. He then called 999.

Isaiah’s uncle, Damson, is a British actor who had a major role this year in F1 – a drama about a racing driver who returns after a 30-year absence to save his former teammate.

The star was seen in the drama series Snowfall. He also had roles in the films Outside the Wire and Farming.

Damson was born in Peckham, southeast London. He is the youngest of six children.

The actor’s nephew was one of the 11 people that Anthony Williams was accused of attempting to murder when he appeared at Peterborough Magistrates’ Court on Monday.

In a statement about the incident, British Transport Police said: ‘Officers received a report of an incident on a DLR train at Pontoon Dock at 00:46 early on 1 November where a victim suffered facial injuries after being attacked with a knife.

‘The suspect had left the location. Police subsequently identified Williams as a suspect.’

The other ten murder charges facing Williams relate to the stabbing of LNER passengers travelling from Doncaster to London, around 16 hours later.

Last night a father said he hit Williams with his car as he was ‘heading straight for me’.

Dave Scott, 57, was waiting to collect his daughter from Huntingdon station when the LNER train made an emergency stop.

He said: ‘It was a case of fight or flight, and I just powered away as quick as I could, also taking him with [me].’

Damson declined to comment on his nephew.

However Habeeb Idris, another uncle of Isaiah, said his nephew was wounded in the knife attacks.

He said: ‘I am aware that Isaiah was involved in the incident on a train, but we are dealing with this privately as a family.’

Isaiah is the youngest victim on the charges against Williams – but he was also alleged to have attacked a 14-year-old boy.
