Here are three new albums that music fans should check out this month:

“As It Ever Was, So It Will Be Again,” The Decemberists

The indie-pop band behind such amazing albums as 2006’s “The Crane Wife” and 2009’s “The Hazards of Love” is set to release its ninth full-length studio outing on June 14. The first single from “As It Ever Was, So It Will Be Again” is “Burial Ground,” a No. 2 hit on the AAA (adult album alternative) charts that features James Mercer of The Shins. Fans will likely get to hear material from this new album when the Decemberists perform July 13 at the Fox Theater in Oakland (apeconcerts.com).

“I Still Have You,” Smokie Norful

The Oklahoma-born gospel singer — who also works as a pastor at two churches in Illinois — finally returns with a new album. Released earlier this month, “I Still Have You’ is the artist’s first full-length offering since 2014’s “Forever Yours.” Norful is a two-time Grammy winner, having earned trophies in 2005 (best contemporary soul gospel album for “Nothing Without You”) and 2015 (best gospel performance/song for “No Greater Love”).

“Manifesto on Love,” The Barbican Quartet

Give a listen to the debut album from this award-winning quartet, which features violinist Amarins Wierdsma, violinist Kate Maloney, violist Christoph Slenczka and cellist Yoanna Prodanova. The recording includes compositions from Leoš Janáček, Dobrinka Tabakova and Robert Schumann.
