No, Caleb Williams won’t tell Bears coach Ben Johnson to go shirtless so you get a free hot dog

Quarterback Caleb Williams throwing four touchdowns against the Cowboys earned Chicagoans free hot dogs from The Wiener’s Circle.

Bears coach Ben Johnson can do the same trick without having to do a single thing on the field. The notoriously foul-mouthed hot dog stand wrote on social media Wednesday it will give away free hot dogs “if Ben Johnson takes his shirt off during or after any Chicago Bears victory this year.”

Williams paused dramatically Wednesday when asked whether he’d encourage his coach — who is stoic on the sidelines but loosens up during his postgame speeches — to do just that.

“I don’t know if I’m going to encourage him to take his shirt off,” Williams said. “But if he does it. … He loves Chicago and I think he’s been enjoying Chicago, so I think he may or may not do it, so we’ll see. But I’m not going to encourage the guy to take off his shirt for some hot dogs.”

Williams didn’t visit the hot dog stand when it gave away free hot dogs following his NFC Offensive Player of the Week-winning performance in Week 3, but he did send his bulldog Supa to check out the commotion.

“It’s not typically in his diet,” Williams said then. “But I don’t think he had ketchup on it. When he ended up getting home, he ended up going inside his cage on his own and passing out. He had a blast.”
