Chamber awards
The Campbell Chamber of Commerce is accepting nominations for its 2024 citizen of the year and the business of the year awards through Jan. 17.
Citizen of the year nominees don’t have to be Campbell residents; they just have to be a prominent contributors to the Campbell community. The winners will be honored at the Chamber’s 57th annual Celebrate Campbell awards dinner in April. The gala also serves as a fundraiser for the Campbell Community Foundation Scholarship Fund.

MedAssist expanding
MedAssist—Santa Clara County’s program to help cover the cost of prescription medications for diabetes, asthma and severe allergies—is streamlining its application process and increasing enrollment in 2025, according to a recent update from the county’s Health and Hospital Committee (HHC).
Launched in 2022, MedAssist was specifically designed to support county residents who fall into the “missing middle,” earning too much to qualify for most government programs but not enough to afford first-rate insurance or out-of-pocket costs.
The HHC is looking to increase MedAssist enrollment from 2,000 residents in 2024 to 2,500 in 2025. To achieve that goal, the program will launch an awareness campaign with an updated website and forms available in eight languages.
To be eligible for MedAssist, Santa Clara County residents must have a valid prescription for diabetes medications, asthma inhalers, or epinephrine auto-injectors (EpiPens); meet annual household gross income limit requirements; meet the individual out-of-pocket healthcare spending requirements; and not be receiving prescription drug coverage or support from a federal or state healthcare program.
Applications for the MedAssist 2025 program year are currently being accepted. For more information, visit www.GetMedAssist.com.
