Northwestern University, Evanston police ask for help locating professor
Northwestern University and Evanston police are asking for help in locating a professor who was reported missing Monday, authorities said.
Nina Kraus, a professor in the school of communication, was last seen leaving for a walk from her home in the 1500 block of Ashland Avenue in Evanston on Monday around 9 a.m., according to Evanston police and Northwestern. When she hadn’t returned around noon, her family called Evanston police and reported her missing.
Evanston police launched an investigation, including canvassing cameras in the area that may have captured Kraus and searching the lakefront with a drone, Cmdr. Ryan Glew said. The search continued Tuesday afternoon.
