Nuggets’ 2026 championship odds: What sportsbooks think of Denver’s chances after Thunder’s NBA Finals win

The 2024-25 NBA season has come to a close after the Thunder defeated the Pacers in Game 7 on Sunday to become the eighth different team to win the NBA Finals in eight years.

Among those eight? The Nuggets, who are two years removed from winning their first championship. So what are the odds they can bring home another Larry O’Brien Trophy? If the oddsmakers are to be believed, it’s good but not great.

Denver has +1,500 odds — meaning a $100 bet would win $1,500 — to win the 2025-26 championship, according to DraftKings Sportsbook. The Nuggets have the seventh-best odds behind the Thunder (+225), Rockets (+750), Cavaliers (+850), Knicks (+850), Timberwolves (+1,300) and Lakers (+1,400).

BetMGM gives Denver the eighth-best odds at +1,600, while the Nuggets are ninth on FanDuel Sportsbook at +1,700.

In the MVP race, all three sportsbooks have Nikola Jokic as the favorite with odds ranging from +200 to +260.

In other bets, DraftKings isn’t giving Denver much of a shot of landing Giannis Antetokounmpo in the offseason. Denver is tied for the 25th-best odds to land the star forward at +10,000. The Bucks (-500) are favored to retain the Greek Freak, with the Knicks (+600), Raptors (+850) and Spurs (+1,250) with the best odds to land him.
