OAKLAND — A second suspect has been arrested and charged in the Jan. 30 armed carjacking of a cannabis delivery van with an $80,000 loss, court records show.
Nasir Blocker, 19, was charged on May 21 with carjacking and second degree robbery. He joins co-defendant Donte Kittling Jr., 20, who was charged last March. A third man, 18, was charged back in February, but the case against him was dismissed two weeks due to lack of evidence, court records show.
Kittling, a rapper who goes by Lil’ Donk, is believed to be affiliated with the Oakland-based gang known as Fein Team. Police concluded this in part due to a social media post by Kittling, authorities said.
Prosecutors allege that Kittling, Blocker, and others used a Maserati and a Hyundai Genesis to cut off a delivery van, ordered the victims out at gunpoint and forced them to open a locked cash vault, stating, “put in the code or you’re going to die.”
Blocker was arrested May 15, then got released from jail after posting $200,000 bail. He then failed to appear at a May 29 court hearing, and a warrant was issued for his arrest, according to court records.
Kittling remains in custody at Santa Rita Jail in Dublin, where he has been since late February, court records show.
The Fein Team has been on police investigators’ radar since last year, when gang members allegedly traveled to Los Angeles and attempted to rob a married couple there, resulting in a shootout that killed one of the suspected robbers. Oakland police conducted a series of raids against suspected gang members last September.
