Officials search for driver from fatal hit-and-run in Capitol Hill in Denver

Officials are searching for a driver who was involved in a fatal hit-and-run crash in Capitol Hill in June, according to the Colorado Bureau of Investigation.

The crash happened at 1000 East Colfax Avenue on June 25 around 11:15 a.m., according to a Tuesday Medina Alert from the Denver Police Department. A woman driving a white 2016 Dodge Caravan with Montana plate 299798B ran over a male pedestrian who was later pronounced deceased. The driver stopped briefly before fleeing the scene, according to the alert.

The woman is described as white or Hispanic with brown or black hair and was last seen wearing a pink top and sunglasses. Anyone with information on her whereabouts should call 911 or the Denver Police Department at 720-913-2000.
