Olympian Simone Biles doubles as photographer before Bears-49ers game

SANTA CLARA, Calif. — Gymnast Simone Biles was credentialed as a photographer and shot Sunday night’s pregame activities as part of a league content assignment.

Her NFL media vest was No. 36, the same as her husband, Bears safety Jonathan Owens.

Biles, who did not shoot the game itself, mingled before the game with, among others, model Olivia Culpo, who is married to 49ers running back Christian McCaffrey.

Hours before the game, the NFL posted a video from Biles on a mostly empty field, with the 11-time Olympic medalist saying that “I’m going to be taking some photographs” and promoting the upcoming game. She later shot pictures of Owens and other players as they prepared for the “Sunday Night Football” game at Levi’s Stadium.

Biles and Owens were married in April 2023. He’s played safety for the Bears for the past two seasons after spending the 2023 season playing for the rival Packers.

Nonetheless, Williams threw for a season-high 330 yards and still has the Bears in position to secure the No. 2 playoff seed in the NFC.
No last-play magic for Caleb Williams this time, though he flashed such quality throughout that he looked — more so than at any other time to this point — like a superstar in the making.
While the Week 18 matchups were set in May, the NFL waits until the week before to put them in time slots.
