OAKLAND — A 36-year-old man was killed in an East Oakland shooting Wednesday night, authorities said.
The man, whose name has not yet been released, was shot after getting into a dispute of some kind with another person. What the dispute was about has not been released.
The shooting happened about 9:35 p.m. Wednesday in the 1700 block of 28th Avenue, in a residential neighborhood between International Boulevard and Foothill Boulevard. Officers were called after the gunfire prompted the activation of a gunshot detection system alert.
