A motorist driving the wrong way on the Tri-State Tollway crashed into a truck and has died early Wednesday near Glenview, state police said.
At about 2 a.m., a passenger vehicle was traveling south in the northbound lanes when they hit a box truck near Golf Road, state police said.
The wrong-way motorist was dead on the scene and the driver and passenger of the truck were taken to an area hospital with undisclosed injuries.
Northbound lanes remain shut down as of 6:30 a.m., state police said.
