One worker killed with dozens injured and trapped after explosion at steel plant

CLAIRTON, Pa. ? Emergency responders are on scene as heavy smoke rises from U.S. Clairton Coke Works plant. A source tells Pittsburgh's Action News 4 an explosion occurred at the plant. Video form Sky 4, Pittsburgh's only news helicopter, shows fire crews battling flames. Advertisement Dispatchers confirmed multiple people have been injured. The extent of those injuries is unknown.

A massive explosion at a Pennsylvania plant has left one dead and dozens injured.

The US Steel Clairton Coke Works exploded shortly before 11am on Monday, setting off a loud boom in the Pittsburgh area.

Five people were rushed to hosptials.

At least two people are missing.
