Go & Show begins in earnest with the start of outdoors show season.
As usual, Let’s Go Fishing Show is the first at the Gateway Convention Center in Collinsville. It starts today, Jan. 3, and runs through Sunday, Jan. 5. There are such fishing stars as Brandon Palaniuk and recognized Illinois fishing people such as Jim Crowley and Steve Welch. I have yet to make the show, One of these years I will.
Then next week, two of the big Chicago-area shows begin. More on them next week.
The most venerable show of the area, the Chicago Boat Show, opens Wednesday, Jan. 8, and runs through Jan. 12, at a new venue at the Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont.
The Tinley Park Fishing, Travel and Outdoor Expo opens next Friday, Jan. 10, and runs through Jan. 12 at the Tinley Park Convention Center.
There’s been three adds so far to the master list of outdoors shows, classes, swap meets and major ice fishing events, which is at https://chicago.suntimes.com/outdoors/2024/11/28/outdoors-shows-master-list-for-2025-around-chicago-and-beyond
