Ensemble Investments, one of the developers building out the up-and-coming Clara District near Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, has announced plans for the project’s first signature restaurant.
The restaurateurs behind the Saratoga standouts Hero Ranch Kitchen and Flowers will venture beyond that trendy block of Big Basin Way to build an Italian-style steakhouse at the AVE Santa Clara upscale apartments, part of the Clara community that will grow to include thousands of residences.
According to John Keller and Angelo Heropoulos, co-founders of the Hero Ranch Kitchen Group. the as-yet-unnamed steakhouse is scheduled to open before Levi’s hosts Super Bowl LX in early February 2026.
The group’s eponymous restaurant opened in 2018 in the former Sent Sovi space in Saratoga, and later was featured in a Bay Area News Group Top 50 restaurants list.
Steve Edwards, who is senior vice president of lifestyle development for the Long Beach-based Ensemble Investments, said in a statement that the restaurant will help fulfill Ensemble’s vision for the community, serving as “both a culinary anchor and a social hub” for the Clara District.
AVE will consist of 311 luxury and furnished “flexible stay” apartments.
Already open in the district is a casual spot for Niners fans, Clara’s Place. The indoor-outdoor restaurant opened last September.
