Packers edge rusher Micah Parsons declared that he “may be sidelined, but I am not defeated” after tearing his ACL on Sunday against the Broncos.
He’ll be out for the rest of the season, starting with Saturday night’s game against the Bears at Soldier Field.
“This injury is my greatest test—a moment God allowed to strengthen my testimony,” Parsons wrote on social media Monday afternoon. “I believe He walks with me through this storm and chose me for this fight because He knew my heart could carry it.
“I’m deeply grateful to the Packers organization and my teammates for their unwavering support, love, and belief in me during this season. I trust His timing, His plan, and His purpose. I will rise again.”

The Packers got better news about wide receiver Christian Watson, who left Sunday’s loss to the Broncos — and was forced to go to the hospital briefly — because of a chest injury. He didn’t suffer any serious injury, per ESPN, and will be evaluated during the week to see whether he can play against the Bears. Watson had four catches for a team-high 89 yards and two touchdowns in the Packers’ 28-21 win against the Bears two weeks ago.
Parsons had one tackle and two quarterback hits against the Bears, leading Packers coach Matt LaFleur to complain after the game that the Bears were holding his star edge rusher but officials didn’t penalize them.
