A motorist who ran a red light caused a crash that left a woman critically injured on Lake Shore Drive Thursday night in Lake View.
The woman was crossing e street around 9 p.m. the the 3600 block of North DuSable Lake Shore Drive when a light-colored SUV driven by a 26-year-old woman ran a red light and struck her, Chicago police said.
The woman was taken to the Illinois Masonic Medical Center where she was in critical condition, police said.
Citations were given to the driver.
