A pedestrian was fatally struck by an SUV driver early Friday in Rogers Park on the North Side.
Around 5:50 a.m., the 34-year-old man was on the street in the 6800 block of North Sheridan Road when a blue SUV hit him, Chicago police said in a statement.
He was taken to St. Francis Hospital where he was pronounced dead, police said.
No citations were pending against the 27-year-old driver, a police spokesperson said.
