Pedestrian injured in southwest Denver hit-and-run on Federal Boulevard

A pedestrian was injured late New Year’s Eve in a southwest Denver crash on Federal Boulevard, police said.

The Denver Police Department first posted at 11:23 p.m. Wednesday about the hit-and-run near West Arizona Avenue and Federal Boulevard, on the edge of the city’s Mar Lee and Ruby Hill neighborhoods.

Paramedics took the unidentified pedestrian to the hospital with serious injuries, police said.

Additional information about the crash — including whether police have identified or found the driver, the type of car involved, whether the pedestrian was in a crosswalk and whether speed or alcohol are suspected to be involved — was not immediately available Thursday morning.

This is a developing story and may be updated.
