The pensioner was struck at a roundabout on A289 Gads Hill in Gillingham at around 12.10pm on Monday.
The victim was reportedly stuck on the windscreen and carried by the car for nearly a mile before he was found dumped by a farm in Grange Road.
It is reported the vehicle kept on driving and was later found in a country road in Eastcourt Lane, where the occupants fled on foot.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics.

Drones were seen flying over the area and police dogs were used to locate the suspects thought to be hiding in nearby woodland.
Police release CCTV of men leaving the scene before arresting three in connection with the collision – a 29-year-old from Chatham, a 28-year-old from Edgware in London and a 28-year-old of no fixed address.
All three remain in custody.
A car recovered was seen being loaded onto a pick-up truck.
Officers from Kent Police’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit are urging anyone who witnessed the incident, or saw the vehicle or pedestrian prior to the collision, to contact them.

Motorists with dashcam and residents with CCTV footage of the incident have been urged to share this with Kent Police.
Detective Inspector Zoe Wilczek said: ‘We would like to thank all those who have assisted our investigation so far.
‘While we are not longer for any further suspects at this time, we are urging anyone who witnessed the incident, or saw the vehicle or pedestrian prior to the collision, to contact us
‘We’re also asking anyone who may have caught any part of the incident on their dashcams and CCTV, and has not yet got in touch with us, to do so.’
