A person was found shot to death Thursday afternoon in a Near South Side hotel room.
Around 1:05 p.m., officers found the person, whose age was unknown, shot in the neck in a hotel room in the first block of West 26th Street, Chicago police said.
The person was pronounced dead at the scene, according to police.
Area detectives were conducting a homicide investigation and no other information had been released as of Thursday afternoon.
