A person of interest was in custody after three Little Village immigration organization buildings were vandalized with swastikas and the phrase “Ice Rules” earlier this month.
Two of the buildings were vandalized between midnight and 3 a.m. July 19 in the 2700 block of West Cermak Road and the 2500 block of South Central Park Avenue. The third building, in the 2700 block of West Cermak Road, was painted between midnight and 3 a.m. July 20, police said.
Police recently released pictures of a man they said they believe vandalized the buildings, though it wasn’t immediately clear if that same person was in custody.
