A person injured three women in a drive-by shooting in Wolverhampton yesterday evening.
There women were found injured on Frederick Street, near St John’s Retail Park, at about 11pm after shots were heard ‘being fired from a car’.
The women were rushed to hospital – two have since been discharged, police said this afternoon.
The third woman, none of whom have been named, is in a ‘stable condition’.
A manhunt is underway to find the suspected shooter, with detectives tawling through hours of CCTV footage.
The force said: ‘We’re working to establish why this happened and we’d ask anyone with information to speak to us. Such violence is unacceptable and won’t be tolerated.
‘We will have an increased presence in the area to reassure the local community.’
Frederick Street is a small road made up mainly of warehouses and stores in the Graisely neighbourhood, just southwest of the city centre.
