A pedestrian was struck by a Metra Milwaukee District West train Friday morning near a station in Elgin.
Just before 7 a.m., train #2210 struck a person at Kimball and State streets, Metra officials said.
The person was taken to Saint Joseph Hospital with injuries not considered life threatening, officials said.
By 7:30 a.m., trains were running at restricted speeds with possible delays up to 25 minutes, according to a Metra alert.
No further information was immediately available.
