Valley Plaza Recreation Center in North Hollywood sponsored a fun and free day over the weekend for children aimed at ages 2 to 14, that included an Easter egg hunt, games, face painting, prizes, arts and crafts and snacks.
They expected a big crowd this year in part because the same event sponsored by Valley Plaza Recreation Center in 2024 featured giant white bunny rabbits who goofed around and thrilled the kids. But that wasn’t all, and again this year children got to color Easter bunny rabbits and take their artwork home. And perhaps the most exciting feature for many children was an Easter basket filled with goodies.
When it isn’t hosting special days like Easter, the staff who oversee the Valley Plaza Recreation Center and Valley Plaza Park offer all kinds of things to do, thanks to the park’s children’s play area, soccer fields seasonal public pool and basketball courts.
