Chicago police say they are looking for a driver who hit and “seriously injured” an 85-year-old man in Back of the Yards early Wednesday morning before fleeing the scene.
About 6:40 a.m. Wednesday in the 4600 block of South Ashland Avenue, the 85-year-old man was hit by a 2022 blue and black convertible Chevrolet Camaro with the license plate DK80762, police said. The driver didn’t stop to help the man and was last seen going northbound on South Ashland Avenue from West 47th Street.
Police said the vehicle may have damage to the front hood and windshield, and has a bumper sticker on the right rear bumper. They ask anyone with information to call 312-745-4521.
