Los Angeles police Thursday, Sept. 4, were asking for the public’s help in identifying a suspect who they believe intentionally hit and killed a man with a vehicle in Chatsworth earlier this week, authorities said.
The collision occurred about 5:30 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 2, in the area of Lassen Street and Canoga Avenue, police said.
When police arrived, they found a man lying in a driveway apron with multiple injuries, police said.
After reviewing evidence at the scene, including surveillance video, detectives determined the victim had been intentionally struck, with the driver fleeing, police said.
Detectives were searching the area for possible witnesses, evidence and additional footage, police said.
The area is comprised of mostly commercial buildings near the Browns Creek Wash.
The man’s identity was withheld by police pending notification of his relatives.
