Polly’s Pies is selling fresh olallieberry pie and strawberry pie

Fresh fruit season has arrived at Polly’s Pies.

Fresh strawberry pie is on sale for $23.49 and typically available all summer. Other fruit and berry pies follow the harvest calendar, which has been pushed up about two weeks due to heat in Central California that speeded up ripening, according to representatives of the Placenta-based chain.

Olallieberry pie went on sale for $25.49 in mid-June, as depicted in a Facebook Reels video. It should be available for a few more days. Polly’s is expecting to get its last shipment around the Fourth of July. Oliallies were developed in the 1940s and are two-thirds blackberry and one-third red raspberry, according to grower Linn’s of Cambria.

Polly’s expects to start selling fresh peach pie and fresh Triple Crown blackberry pie in about two weeks. Triple Crown berries are said to be sweeter than other varieties.
