The Ronald Reagan Presidential Library, a sprawling 300-acre site in rolling hills 25 miles from the San Fernando Valley, is the burial site of Reagan, the 40th president from 1981 to 1989, and his wife Nancy Reagan.
The crowd who attended the event enjoyed music by the Camp Pendleton Marine Division Band, a color guard, a brass quintet and a 21-gun salute. In honor of Reagan, an official White House wreath was placed at his gravesite.
