Vladimir Putin appears uncomfortable in his latest media appearance.
The Russian president couldn’t stop moving while speaking to the world’s press.
Footage shows him appearing unsteady while discussing the possibility of Ukraine receiving Tomahawk missiles from the US.
He said the thought of Kyiv receiving the missiles, which have the capability to reach Moscow, was ‘very serious, if not overwhelming’.
The Russian dictator said: ‘Of course, this is an unfriendly act towards Russia, this is an obvious thing, and it does not strengthen Russian-American relations, which have just begun to recover.
‘Of course, with such actions the US administration damages Russian-American relations.
‘This, of course, is an attempt to put pressure on Russia. But no self-respecting country and no self-respecting people ever decide anything under pressure.
‘And, of course, Russia has such a privilege to feel and consider itself on this list of self-respecting countries and peoples.’
US President Donald Trump and Putin were meant to sit down for crunch talks in Hungary after a three-hour phone call, but these plans have now been put on hold.
Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov said there was no real urgency for Trump and Putin to meet over Ukraine, adding: ‘Preparation is needed, serious preparation.’
Volodymyr Zelensky and Trump also met at the White House last week to discuss the Tomahawks deal, but were unable to reach an agreement.
The Ukrainian president has repeatedly been asking the US for Tomahawk missiles, which have the capability to hit Moscow if needed, with Pentagon officials confirming they were considering supplying them.
When asked earlier this week if Trump was considering giving Ukraine the Tomahawks, he said: ‘We’ll see… I may.’
