Andrew Windsor, who had agreed to stop using his titles after ongoing pressure due to his links with Jeffrey Epstein, has now had them taken from him to ensure that the titles cannot be used officially.
The reaction across Britain has been overwhelmingly positive, with one crowd at a filming of BBC’s Question Time bursting into applause.
Fiona Brue shared the news that he ‘will now be known as Andrew Mountbatten Windsor.’
Crowds clapped happily over the demise of Andrew, who was found to be the most unpopular royal ever.
It is understood that although Mr Windsor denies the accusations, Buckingham Palace consider that there have been ‘serious lapses of judgment’.

	Despite being stripped of his royal titles, Mr Windsor is still eighth in line for the throne. He is still listed as ‘Prince Andrew’ on his Buckingham Palace page.
Princess Eugenie and Princess Beatrice will retain their titles, as they are the daughters of the son of a Sovereign.
The palace added that the former Duke of York will be evicted from the Royal Lodge, a Grade II-listed, 30-room mansion in Windsor.
The commoner formerly known as a prince will move to a property on the grounds of Sandringham, a royal estate owned by King Charles in Norfolk.
The Royal Family traditionally gather on the estate for Christmas, celebrations which the palace has already said Mr Windsor will not be invited to.
 
	The announcement came hours after Andrew was made the subject of a private prosecution.
Republic wants to establish if there are legal grounds to pursue the former Duke of York over allegations of sexual offences, corruption and misconduct in public office.
The group said that the lawyers will begin ‘actively investigating’, with a view to ‘beginning proceedings in the coming weeks.’
Claims that Mr Windsor passed sex trafficking victim Virginia Giuffre’s date of birth and social security number to his taxpayer-funded bodyguard in 2011 in order to obtain information about her are being looked into by the Metropolitan Police.
