Rain pushes back start of White Sox game against Toronto

A day after heavy rain cut the White Sox’ game short against the Toronto Blue Jays, the start of their series finale was delayed Wednesday afternoon as more showers rolled through Chicago.

The game was originally scheduled to start at 1:10 p.m. The first pitch happened at 1:22 p.m.

The National Weather Service was forecasting Isolated showers and storms throughout the afternoon.

Tuesday night’s game was called in the seventh inning after an 84-minute rain delay, giving Toronto the 6-1 win.
