Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson practiced Thursday as his team prepares to play the Bears on Sunday in Baltimore.
Jackson, who has missed the past two games because of a hamstring problem, returned to practice for the first time this month on Wednesday. Coach John Harbaugh wouldn’t put a percentage on his likelihood to play, nor would he say whether he’d use backup Cooper Rush or Tyler Huntley in his place. Rush started the last two games, though Huntley replaced him last week.
The Ravens listed Jackson as limited both Wednesday and Thursday.
Asked Thursday whether the Bears would try to make Jackson run side-to-side instead of straight upfield, defensive coordinator Dennis Allen smiled.
“I’d rather him just stand there,” he said. “There’s.a lot of challenges that go along with that. You can get so paralyzed in terms of not wanting this guy to be a runner and now all of a sudden you have nothing in terms of a rush and he’s able to stand back there all day and throw the ball.
“It’ll be a challenge for us in terms of how we have to rush him. Not only how we have to play him from a passing game standpoint, but how we have to play him in the run game. There’s a lot to contest with there.”
