Kentucky Rep. Thomas Massie is married again roughly 16-months after announcing the death of “the love of my life.”
The Republican lawmaker stated Monday that he wedded former Sen. Rand Paul staffer Carolyn Grace Moffa on Oct. 16 in Kentucky. The pair celebrated their nuptials with friends and family with a Christian wedding ceremony in Moffa’s home state of Pennsylvania over the weekend.
“Carolyn has not previously been married,” Massie posted on X. “I have four adult children, who are all married to wonderful people, and three grandchildren from my blessed 31 year marriage to Rhonda who I still miss every day.”
Massie said he’s known Moffa for more than a decade and that she’d met his first wife on the couple’s Kentucky farm. That’s where he and his new bride will reside when they’re not in Washington D.C.

Republican members of Congress including Paul, Marjorie Taylor Greene from Georgia and Jim Jordan of Ohio attended the festivities.
“Fun facts about our wedding: Of course we served raw milk with the wedding cake and margaritas made with frozen peaches from our farm!” the 45-year-old conservative wrote.
Massie shared news of his first wife’s death on X on June 28, 2024.
“Yesterday my high school sweetheart, the love of my life for over 35 years, the loving mother of our 4 children, the smartest kindest woman I ever knew, my beautiful and wise queen forever, Rhonda went to Heaven,” he wrote.
While some social media users wished him and Moffa well, critics called the timing of Massie’s second marriage “weird.”
