OAKLAND — The FBI raided four houses early Thursday, including one that is associated with Oakland Mayor Sheng Thao, according to media reports.

According to ABC7 in San Francisco, a neighbor confirmed that the FBI was in the Lincoln Highlands neighborhood in the Oakland Hills. Another neighbor told the station that the FBI was on the property, the station reported.
The FBI in a statement confirmed that it was “conducting court authorized law enforcement activity on Maiden Lane and Viewcrest Court. We are unable to provide additional information at this time.”
Attempts to reach officials from the city of Oakland were not successful immediately.
