Rockies catcher Hunter Goodman named Silver Slugger finalist

Rockies catcher Hunter Goodman, who slugged 31 homers, was named a finalist for the National League Silver Slugger Award on Wednesday.

The other NL finalists are Milwaukee’s William Contreras and the Dodgers’ Will Smith.

Goodman’s 31 homers in 2025 were the most by a Rockies catcher in franchise history. Goodman, 26, slashed .278/.520/.843 and drove in 91 runs. If Goodman wins, he would become the Rockies’ first catcher to win a Silver Slugger Award. The Rockies have not had a Silver Slugger winner since shortstop Trevor Story in 2019.
