Rolling road closures in Denver as anti-ICE protesters march near Colorado State Capitol

Hundreds of people marched through downtown Denver on Friday night to demonstrate against U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement in the wake of a federal agent fatally shooting Renée Good in Minneapolis.

Denverites should expect rolling road closures in the downtown area, Denver police said at 7 p.m. when protesters started marching from the Capitol.

The protest is one of several planned across metro Denver this weekend after an ICE agent shot and killed Good, a former Colorado resident, as she was driving away from a group of immigration officers on Wednesday.

Federal officials have accused Good of trying to run over an ICE agent and said the shooting was self defense, but local, state and federal leaders have rejected those claims after seeing videos of the shooting recorded by bystanders.

Additional protests are planned for Saturday and Sunday, according to organizers.

This is a developing story.
