A man died after being found with a gunshot wound near San Francisco’s Fisherman’s Wharf, police said.
Officers responded around 2:20 a.m. July 3 to a call for a well-being check of a person lying on the ground near Powell and Vandewater streets, three blocks south of the Embarcadero.
The man was found to have a gunshot wound. He was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
The police said the death is being investigated as a homicide; they released no other details.
