SAN JOSE — A man was found beaten to death at a San Jose home late Sunday, and another man has been arrested in connection with the killing, police said.
Officers were called at 9:04 p.m. to a residence on Danze Drive, not far from Monterey Road in the city’s Roundtable neighborhood, for a report of a suspicious circumstance, according to the San Jose Police Department.
The 911 caller reported arriving home to find a housemate “who appeared to have been murdered in the home,” and police said officers found a man “suffering multiple injuries that were consistent with being physically assaulted.”
The victim, who was not breathing, was soon after pronounced dead at the scene. His name was not publicly released pending his formal identification and notification of his next of kin.
Police said a man was arrested at the site but did not disclose his identity, saying he “will be identified at a later date.”
This incident is being investigated as the city’s 18th homicide of 2025. San Jose recorded 19th homicides by the same point in 2024, according to data compiled by this news organization.
