SAN JOSE – The San Jose Sharks will play the Vegas Golden Knights three times as part of a six-game preseason schedule, which was announced Friday.
The Sharks host the Golden Knights at SAP Center on Sept. 21 and 26, then play the Anaheim Ducks twice, first at the Honda Center on Sept. 29 and in San Jose on Oct. 1. The Ducks are now coached by Joel Quenneville.
The Sharks then close the preseason with road games in Las Vegas on Oct. 3 and in Salt Lake City against the newly named Utah Mammoth on Oct. 4.
All preseason games will be broadcast on the Sharks Audio Network. Information on individual game tickets will be announced at a later date.
Dickinson honored again
Sharks draft pick Sam Dickinson was one of two defensemen named to the All-Canadian Hockey League’s first team on Friday.
Dickinson, who helped lead the London Knights to a Memorial Cup championship earlier this month, had 91 points in 55 games during the regular season. The point total was the 10th-highest by a CHL defenseman since 2000. Last week, Dickinson was named the CHL’s Defenseman of the Year.
Other players to the CHL’s first team were Kitchener Rangers goaltender Jackson Parsons, Saginaw Spirit defenseman and Calgary Flames prospect Zayne Parekh, and forwards Gavin McKenna of the Medicine Hat Tigers, Michael Misa of Saginaw, and Washington Capitals prospect Andrew Cristall of the Spokane Chiefs.
The Sharks could select Misa, who won this season’s CHL scoring title with 134 points in 65 games, with the No. 2 overall selection at the NHL Draft in Los Angeles next week. McKenna is projected to be the No. 1 overall selection at the 2026 draft.
