San Ramon: Upscale Turkish restaurant Meyhouse coming to Bishop Ranch
Flavors of Turkey, Mexico and Brazil are coming soon to City Center Bishop Ranch in San Ramon.
The upscale Turkish restaurant Meyhouse is expanding to the East Bay for the first time. Founded as a pop-up, the restaurant moved into a 55-seat space on Sunnyvale’s Murphy Avenue before adding a flagship location in Palo Alto that seats 175.
Entrepreneurs Omer Artun and Koray Altinsoy pair mesquite-grilled meats with live jazz at that Emerson Street restaurant, which opened in 2023.
In San Ramon, they leased a 5,359-square-foot space to accommodate what they expect to be a lively atmosphere of good times, good food and good music.
“We wanted to create a space that is warm, inviting and genuinely reflective of the traditional meyhane, but with a bit of an elevated, perhaps more contemporary sensibility,” Artun said in 2023 of Meyhouse’s flagship location.
Look for an opening sometime this holiday season, according to Bishop Ranch.
Opening soon will be Palmetto Superfoods, which has been selling Brazilian acai bowls all over the Bay Area, from San Jose to San Francisco, and is also finally expanding into the East Bay. The owners of the build-your-own superfood bowl concept leased a 1,035-square-foot space near LB Steak.

Lastly, Rico Rico Taco will join the shopping center early next year. Known for handmade tortillas and spit-roasted al pastor, the Oakland taco spot is expanding into a 1,464-square-foot space between West Elm and Fieldwork Brewing Company.
“We’re excited to welcome these restaurants that showcase such a fun mix of flavors and traditions,” said Jeff Dodd, senior vice president at Sunset Development. “They make City Center Bishop Ranch an even better spot to gather, share a meal and try something new.”
